not too many. not too few
+/- 85 parts
parts count of our Fokker DVII OAW 3.0 runs somewhere in the eighties ... a bit more, a bit less ... depending on the specifics of each kit scheme
let's take the engine as an example ... we were never fans of those clunky 3d printing engine mono blocks ... our mercedes diiiaü has a similar number of parts as a typical plastic injection moulded one ...
that's because our focus was ... on the enjoyable experience of putting something together ... and comfortable access for painting
there is only a subtle difference. this one fits together like a glove ... without almost no need for glue ... we call that #gothafit

bottom (seam) line: why ???
single fuselage
if technology doesn’t allow it, tough luck ... people have always found clever ways to work around such limits ... modelers especially
but if it does ... and one doesn’t push the boundaries ... that’s a bit of a shame. it's easy hiding between that good old excuse: "it has always been done like that"
its why we went all in to build a single fuselage ... no more seamlines to fill ... when possibility meets courage, excuses no longer belong in the conversation

first it was 74 ... now it is 85 grams
... less than 3€ /gram
Fokker DVII OAW 3.0 just got a little cheaper ... per gram that is
it took a lot more than 11 grams worth of effort ... to move from prototype to final production model. it means taking things on the safe side with a lot of testing, trial and error
we ended up adding 11 grams to the model ... the best we could do for now... for your xperience, safety, and your protection. but we keep on pushing

if it is sealed, it is useless
never fake. the intake
probably one of the most distinguishing features of D7s ... due to overheating ... pushing the creativity of on-the field mechanics and factories ... resulting in a plethora of different cooling solutions
it's where 3D printing shines ... each Fokker DVII OAW kit comes with its unique and beautiful detailed cowlings
no need for conversions, drilling holes ... just remember that those see-thru cowling vents have no mercy ... painting and weathering the engine has to live up to the reputation

single cockpit cell
magic ... in the unfolding
what may look daunting at first ... turns into a joyride in the unfolding ... it is as if all those beautiful little details say to you ... "come and get me"
it is the single most amazing piece of engineering on Fokker DVII OAW 3.0... truly in scale ... all cockpit components just click onto the mounts
and the mercedes engine just pops onto its original engine bearers ... easy get ... easy go

when things. simply come together
just snap it
it's a highlight on the journey ... a key moment ... the single cockpit cell just slides into the fuselage ... without the need for glue
the tolerances are insane ... but everything seems impossible at first sight ... until it becomes possible ... this is cutting edge 3d printing at its finest

3 different colors
light color. light weight
Fokker DVII OAW 3.0 top wing ... barely weighs 30 grams ... it is hollow ... no need for those half-assed solutions ... such as strengthening struts with metal rods ... our 3dprinted one simply hold and do the job ... we tested them ... thoroughly
all fabric covered parts ... come in a gorgeous silky, alabaster finish ... no need to prime with white ... decal colors have been matched with them ... to achieve optimum result

packaging 3.0
safe landing
we never understood how some of these kits are being packaged ... where everything is just thrown in a box
packaging is safe and secure ... and an integral part of the experience

see. through
the fuselage is so thin ... one can see thru it ... it's almost as the real thing
we made it a bit more difficult for ourselves in doing so ... aligning the outer and inner lozenge decals ... but nothing we can't handle

see. live
doubling down on the same thing ... just with a mini me bit more motion this time ... just in case

example: horizontal tailplane
the devil. is in the detail
holes come pre-drilled ... so you don't have to do that by yourself ... and they are angled in the appropriate direction ... not straight up or down ... so your rigging aligns properly and looks professional
i want one now
these are ready to leave the hangars
i can wait a bit
these are all coming soon ...
AI stuff ... that just wasn't good enuff
bloopers

001
it's a model ... not a stat
those promising charts looks nice ... but we never were that much into that bottom line stuff.
if you try to do everything right on the top line .. usually the bottom line will simply just follow

002
let a cat ... just be a cat
#wabisabi ... let's be real ... nothing is perfect from the start ... and cats seem to have that great way of sensing that ... so you cannot expect them to look overly enthusiastic

003
no sweat ... ur overcooking it
relax dude ... we all know you have become enthusiastic ... but in the end the product will do all the talking ... you'll be fine

004
zip it!
cats are amazing paradoxes wrapped in fur. they’ll sleep away nearly 70% of their lives ... yet in the blink of an eye they unleash the instincts of a wild hunter. they purr at a frequency that can calm your nerves and even promote healing, but in the next breath they’ll stare you down as if you’re their servant
but there is a limit ... there is every reason ... not to be so upset

005
if zip it won't do it ... shush it !!!!
same issue ... but doubled ... a clear no-go ... let's keep it decent

006
mo | na li | sa
we didn't want to cut her up ... because that may probably have gotten us ... into a lot of trouble
the other one ... is a bit cooler. but everything is a matter of personal taste. it's a free world
bottom (seam)line: we just don't see a need for them
lick it ... or leave it
too purrr to handle ?
meow is law ... so feel free to just shoot us a message and we will happy to share with you ... even a mini me bit more
