the outer face of the brand
bushidō
the way of the warrior ... was never just about battle ... instead about living with integrity, courage, and respect ... a timeless compass that guides how we try to work, build, and treat one another
it means doing what’s right even when it’s hard, taking bold steps with courage, and leading with empathy ... trying to honor every voice, keep our word, and take pride in the craft. above all, it means loyalty to our mission, our customers, and each other
yeah ... but what does that mean

bushidō ... in practice
seven core virtues ... seven examples
gi (義) – integrity
#gothaforce is a curated brand ... bringing together what we believe are the best players in the hobby ... around a common vision. such a partnership can only thrive on two essentials: mutual respect, acknowledging and valuing each other’s unique contributions ... and trust, protecting the relationship, especially as partners have placed some of their autonomy in your hands
#gothaforce is the frontline ... carrying that vision forward ... representing and defending the collective. it's an ambassador role that we don't take lightly. because there is no I in #gothaforce
yū (勇) – courage
many said not to do it. many said that historical accuracy is the only thing that counts. no less than nine of our schemes honor this ... to the letter ... to the best of our abilities
we could have played it safe ... instead number 10 breaks the mold. it's our shining star ... a japanese fantasy version that dares to push boundaries. maybe it divides opinions ... maybe it fails ... so be it. we believe in it and for us, that makes it worth doing
@gothaforce.com looks different ... by design ... because we believe buying scale modelling stuff ... should be as enjoyable an experience ... as buying a t-shirt
rei (礼) – courtesy
you visit a website ... and before you’ve even had five seconds to breathe ... a pop-up slams you in the face with a newsletter subscription. not @gothaforce.com ... we’ve deliberately deactivated such features. because courtesy means giving you the space to explore. because in the end, products should do all the talking
we are no fans either of bombarding you with excessive e-mails to grab your attention ... we try to restrict those to when there is something meaningful to say. we believe it should therefore be relatively safe to subscribe to our newsletters
makoto (誠) – honesty
#wabisabi ... or the acceptance that something is not perfect, transient, always subject to improvement, accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay. things are never perfect, especially not at the start.
3D printing plays right into this capability because batch size 1 offers that great ability to continuously improve a product. it would be a wasted opportunity to rest on laurels and not improve what can be improved.
we will say so using release notes, where we indicate what has changed, what has been fixed, and what is new.
meiyo (名誉) – honor
smiling in sunny weather is easy. the true test comes when things go sideways ... when orders go wrong ... when parts are missing ... when the frustration sets in. it's inevitable ... mistakes will happen ... it's human
these are the moments of truth ... where you can experience how organizations see customer care. we try to own the mistake and make it right ... simply because that's the right thing to do
chūgi (忠義) – loyalty
before there was certainty there was belief. early supporters placed their courage in us ... with their wallet ... but more importantly with their trust. and trust is something ... that can never be taken lightly
things never unfold exactly as planned, an unfortunate reality to keep improving ... at the very least, one owes transparency, and a commitment to keep everyone duly informed
we believe in give and get. you give trust, you get respect. you give support, you get commitment. because give and take is a deal. give and get is a relationship. and while what you get versus what you take might feel a bit more uncertain, it's often in the getting that the magic happens

respect for the past. drives the future
when a shinkansen is planned for 08:41 ... it's there at 08:41 ... and people wait in line with quiet respect for each other ... and in those cases when it's there at 8:42 ... nobody is likely to scream drama on social media
we believe life is about learning ... and there is simply a lot to learn from japanese culture

the tagline of the brand
history worth sharing
we believe building a scale model is not so much about putting together some pieces of plastic (or resin) ... it's a window into history ... and we believe the golden age of flight simply has a lot of stories that are worth sharing

the inner soul of the brand
pour le merite
a company must be healthy and profitable to grow, to continue to invest. but true purpose lies beyond money.
pour le merite embodies our commitment to achieve with purpose, to strive with integrity, and to create progress that outlasts short term profit ...
because the pioneering age of aviation deserves a better place in the hobby ... and our hobby deserves a better place in a world ... where generation XYZ is just staring at smart devices ... instead of actually building something
the blue max ... reimagined in contemporary style
this doesn't make gothasense ?
just shoot us a message ... if you have feedback or suggestions how we can become better ... ur welcome
