Tamiya Polishing Compound - Fine

Tamiya 87069 Polishing Compound (Fine) is a step-2 finishing paste designed for achieving a smooth, refined surface on plastic, resin, and metal model parts. It uses very small abrasive particles to remove fine sanding marks and micro-scratches left after coarse polishing, preparing surfaces for a high-gloss finish or final coating.

It is commonly used after Tamiya Coarse (87068) and before Tamiya Finish (87070) as part of a 3-stage polishing system. The compound is especially effective on painted surfaces and clear parts, helping restore clarity and improve overall surface smoothness.

The water-based formula is easy to apply in small amounts and can be washed off with water after use, leaving no residue. Each tube typically contains 22 ml of compound, making it suitable for repeated precision modeling work such as scale car bodies, aircraft canopies, and display-grade finishes.
