Spot-On Pigment No.8 is the textured counterpart to Spot-On Pigment No.7, featuring the same carefully balanced four-colour chernozem blend enriched with fine granular material to recreate the distinctive texture of Eastern Europe's organic-rich black earth.

Famed for the challenging conditions of the Eastern Front, chernozem derives its name from the Russian words cherny(black) and zemlya (earth). While often perceived as simply black soil, real chernozem displays remarkable tonal variation: dry surfaces reveal nuanced shades of grey and brown, while moisture transforms the earth into a deep, almost black mud. This textured formulation faithfully reproduces these characteristics, appearing brownish when dusted and developing into a deep dark grey with subtle brown undertones when used for wet effects.

Perfect for depicting churned roads, muddy tracks, defensive positions, and heavily trafficked terrain on Eastern Front vehicles, artillery, and diorama scenes.
