Spot-On Pigment No.21 is a classic track brown pigment blend developed to reproduce the characteristic oxidation and accumulated grime found on steel tracks. Its balanced tone makes it an excellent all-round choice for depicting tracks in various stages of use and weathering.

This versatile shade can be applied as a dry pigment or transformed into a wash using Alkyd or ENML 2.0 binders. Heavier applications are ideal for vehicles that have been stationary for weeks or months, while lighter use effectively replicates the subtle oxidation seen on operational vehicles exposed to harsh conditions.

For the most realistic results, apply over a dark steel acrylic base. As a general rule when weathering tracks: the more frequently a vehicle is used, the more exposed steel and the less rust will be visible.

Recommended techniques: dusting, washes, capillary action, and layered weathering.
