Spot-On Pigment No.23 is a pigment blend formulated to reproduce the characteristic red anti-corrosive primer used on military and industrial equipment throughout the 20th century. Its authentic tone makes it ideal for recreating exposed primer, factory finishes, and worn protective coatings across a wide range of subjects.

Particularly suited to late-war German vehicles, this shade accurately represents the red oxide primer often visible due to production shortages and incomplete factory finishing. It is also an excellent choice for Entwicklungsfahrzeuge ("E-series") concepts, railway equipment, ships, industrial machinery, and containers.

Use it to depict replacement components such as road wheels, which were often fitted in primer only. Adding a randomly primed wheel to a Panzer IV, Panther, or other late-war German vehicle is a simple but highly effective way to increase realism and visual interest.

Recommended techniques: dusting, washes, chipping effects, and layered weathering.
